Frozen a Truly Symbolic Movie.
I have read many articles lately about the symbolism found in Frozen. Everything from forgiveness to a warning about marrying to early and other diabolical things.
I will have to admit that I have found my own lesson in Frozen. Frozen is a movie against control laws. I am not sure how much the NRA was involved, but they certainly had their finger in this symbolic pie.
Take Elsa, a potentially dangerous weapon. Her parents thinking that she is too dangerous for the rest of the world, restrict her ability. Not realizing that if they would just teach her how to use her weapon properly she would be less of a danger to others. Showing that if guns are restricted that all gun owners will go crazy and rise up against the government. Not to mention that her lack of use of her power puts her in the hands of a mad man government official who wants to control her abilities. (You know what I'm saying, if good guys don't have guns, only bad guys will have them.)
Some may say that this is just a kids movie with really great songs, a happy snowman, and a girl that gets engaged to a guy on their first date, who is suddenly evil, even though he was never evil in private, while everyone says she is crazy for getting engaged in one day, but no one seems to wonder how come she found true love with another guy that she had only known for a few hours, with multiple personality disorder that was raised by trolls, She has a crazy sister with OCD, that freezes a whole town and sends a giant crazed snowman after her sister. Oh and some evil capitalist types. (Cause everybody hates a business man with bad hair.) But I would say this story is actually teaching us that we should horde our guns, and learn how to use them, just in case the government wants to take those abilities away from us, because this is our kingdom, and we will not let it go without a fight.
Thank-you Frozen for this great lesson, because everyone knows that if a children's movie is symbolic, we have learned our lesson and therefore must understand that this is just the way life is meant to be.
